The mythic narrative that a focus on weaknesses causes greater personal effectiveness does not equate to evidence of that being so. Reality is, we grow in personal effectiveness when we grow and strengthen habits of success. It's not actually relevant whether we spent 10 minutes or years confessing and grieving our deficiencies. We don't grow our capacity for creativity by focusing on our past failures to be creative. We grow this capacity by learning how to be more creative and cultivating the habits of creativity.
