While many medical and corporate leaders puzzle over why people don't take better care of themselves, those of us in the positive psychology and neurosciences spaces find little mystery. The more unhappy we are the less energy we feel for exercise. The less will power we feel to resist addictive temptations and act on our dreams. The less able we are to relax or sleep. The less access we have to new possibilities when we feel most stressed and stuck.
The more we grow micro-habits of happiness, the more all of this changes. We naturally and sustainably take better care of ourselves. No app can make more clear our progress than the obvious indicators of wellbeing in the palatable quality of our life.
