Is It Too Much To Ask Organizations To Make Big Change?

I have had more than a few leaders in organizations argue that their missions are to achieve very specific profit outcomes, none of which they would categorize as any kind of "big social change."

I would propose that if they are organizing in a way that creates a culture of shared power, they are contributing to big social change. Shared power is a huge social change, given the way power imbalances of all kinds are between accepted as inevitable and outright rewarding. If your organization is dedicated to shared power through collaborative governance, it is directly contributing to a consciousness that contributes to seismic changes in the world.
