Respect-based organizations

In thriving cultures, one dimension of respect is giving people the freedom to be transparent, inclusive, creative, valuable, trustworthy and engaged. Three things make this more possible: agreements, social tech and not needing permission. 

Most organizations cultures continue to work by command and control which are intrinsically disrespectful, so much so that consuming more pay is the only compensation literally for enduring a culture of disrespect at work.
