Management by personality

One of the more interesting dynamics in organizations, as in families, is the phenomenon of management by personality. Whether they hold positions of authority, seniority or unique responsibility, people with the most negative personality energy dominate. Others defer to them or work around them.

Management by personality is a low engagement group model. We get to higher engagement when we introduce collaborative technologies like sticky notes, physical and virtual, where every voice has value and no one dominates or disappears.
